Full-Stack Developer and System Designer

Barcelona, Spain
Member since 2026

Hey I'm Roberto! I'm a self-taught full-stack developer 10 years deep in JavaScript/TypeScript. Left school at 16 and built my way up through pure curiosity and relentless problem-solving. I'm a skilled web and mobile app developer but my real passion is building novel systems from scratch.

--

What I'm good at: I approach every problem by stripping it back to fundamental principles rather than iterating on what already exists. This means I tend to spot patterns across different domains—blockchain, AI/ML, distributed systems, quantitative finance—and synthesize unconventional solutions.

--

Philosophy: I believe the best solutions come from rebuilding systems from first principles, not tweaking existing frameworks. I'm drawn to cross-domain synthesis—finding insights in quantitative finance that apply to AI, or distributed systems concepts that unlock new approaches to consumer apps. I value speed, technical depth, and building things that actually matter.

--

Collaboration style: Direct, low-ego, high-velocity. I move fast, embrace uncertainty, and prefer co-founders who can challenge my thinking while maintaining momentum. I'm comfortable being wrong and pivoting quickly. Less interested in consensus-building, more interested in shipping.

--

Interests beyond code: AI/ML research, quantitative finance, cryptography, distributed systems, blockchain protocols and consensus, psychology, pharmacology, and a bunch of other stuff.

Currently in Barcelona, Spain. Open to relocation for the right opportunity.

Bazaar

Bazaar

Bazaar is a new kind of autonomous, agentic hedge fund. Most of the world still treats markets as a noisy battlefield of traders, charts, and “alpha signals.” We think that’s backwards. The market is one fluid system with rules and constraints baked into its structure. If you can read those constraints properly, you don’t chase trends – you stand where the pressure is forced to go and let it pay you, over and over. Why this is a good ideaThere is a massive gap between what sophisticated hedge funds do internally and what the rest of the world has access to. That gap is pure margin for anyone who can package institutional‑grade thinking into usable infrastructure. Most “quant” products are either dumbed‑down toys for retail or opaque funds that give you no leverage as a builder or founder. There’s almost nothing that treats the market as a unified system and builds around that from first principles. If we’re right, this doesn’t become “another tool” – it becomes the way serious capital expects markets to be understood and traded, the same way electronic execution and factor models quietly became default. What we’re actually buildingA fully agentic system: a network of specialized agents running on top of a comprehensive market framework, continuously reading state, detecting narratives & money flows, and executing without needing a human to click every button. Not a “bot store” or signal marketplace, but one coherent entity expressed as many agents, from perception to execution, all sharing a cohesive view of the market with various lenses to shape them. The goal is simple: infrastructure that can be scaled into a fund, not a toy for retail. Why it’s awesome to work onConceptually clean: one theory of markets, expressed end‑to‑end in software, instead of a Frankenstein stack of disconnected models and dashboards.Inherently compounding: if you can repeatedly position where flows are forced to go, every improvement to the framework or agents feeds directly into better capacity and more robust edge. Novel execution strategies and the discovery of tradable incongruences inherent in market structure enable constant extraction of alpha without needed to predict the future, much like surfing a wave.It sits at the intersection of market microstructure, agentic systems, and serious product design – the kind of thing that’s fun to think about and even more fun to ship. Why nowMarkets structurally changed (passive dominance, options‑driven flows, 24/7 venues), but most tooling is still stuck in a “chart plus newsfeed” mental model. There’s a huge opportunity to rebuild from the ground up for this regime. We finally have the infra to maintain a continuously updated view of market state and pipe it straight into agents that act, not just alert. Ten years ago this was prop‑desk only; now a small, sharp team can build it.In a world of “AI for trading” vaporware, having a hard, coherent framework and agentic execution around it is a real edge – and a compelling story for capital and talent.Who I’m looking forI’m a deeply technical founder and I own the core framework and system design; I’m not looking for someone to reinvent the engine, but to help turn it into a category‑defining business. Think: product, go‑to‑market, capital formation, and high‑level strategy with enough technical fluency to collaborate, not step on toes. If you want to help build the infrastructure layer for how alpha gets generated in the next decade – not another trading app – let’s talk.
