CribScope

CribScope

Housing By Students For Students

Real Estate

CribScope was created by students who've experienced the stress and uncertainty of finding housing abroad. Finding a home should be exciting, not stressful, Endless scrolling through Facebook housing groups with no way to verify listings, No idea what the neighborhood is actually like until you arrive, Photos that don't match reality and deposits sent to strangers.

CribScope connects Erasmus and international students with verified housing through our network of vetted local student verifiers, and enables students to get a real verification of the housing, but also the neighoruhood, and anything else they may value.

Co-Founder (Market & Growth) — CribscopeLocation focus: Netherlands (initial market)Stage: Early-stage / validation → tractionCompensation: Equity-based (vesting)Cribscope helps students avoid housing scams by verifying rental listings before they send deposits. We’re early, focused, and validating real demand — not polishing a platform. We’re looking for a co-founder who can own market penetration in the Netherlands and help turn early usage into a repeatable growth engine. What you’ll doYou’ll lead go-to-market from the ground up: identifying where student housing pain actually shows up, testing distribution channels, and converting urgency into real usage. This means hands-on work — engaging directly with students, activating networks, running outreach experiments, and shaping partnerships with student organizations and universities. You’ll help turn messy, manual early processes into something that can scale, and work closely on product decisions so we build what actually moves adoption.Who this is forYou’ve studied abroad (ideally Erasmus) and have firsthand experience with student housing stress - scams, deposits, time pressure, and information gaps. You understand how students actually behave under these conditions, not how they say they behave. You already have, or can quickly build, strong student networks in the Netherlands. You speak fluent Dutch and are comfortable operating in student communities, online groups, and institutional environments. What we’re looking forYou have real go-to-market experience at an early stage and are comfortable testing, failing, and iterating fast. You understand partnerships and know how to open doors without sounding like a startup pitch. You’re operationally minded, not just a “growth ideas” person, and can bridge business and technical decisions without needing to be an engineer. You’re action-biased, direct, and comfortable working in ambiguity. What success looks likeWithin a few months, students are submitting real listings without being pushed, one or two Dutch cities show consistent demand, and we have clarity on who uses Cribscope, when, and why. From there, we scale. If you’ve lived this problem, know how to reach the people who feel it most, and want to build something genuinely useful from the ground up, we should talk.
